Ok, so I went to Tulum twice this past year and one time was very very hot and the other time was just perfect for lounging around and not sweating.
The best time is unfortunately the most expensive time to go in December. 

Ok, lets talk about what I packed and how a carry on bag is my new best friend for simplicity. I wanted to make sure all of my outfits were interchangeable with tops and bottoms. The best thing to do is keep a simple color palette where all the colors can be worn with all of your pieces. My go to material was obviously linen and that's because it allows for your skin to breath when it's hot outside and you can get away with not steaming or ironing any of it. Do people even iron clothes anymore?
